Juniors No. 1 (girls)

Bowie 9, St. Mary's 8

In an offensive battle to the end, Bowie was able to walk away with a win thanks to a goal by Cara McNellis with 30 seconds left in the game. St. Mary's came out strong at halftime, but Emily Rankin (10 saves) and the defensive unit of McNellis, Amy Doering, Kayelyn Dyson, Delia Kenny, Briana Guaragna, Natalie Schnell, Katie Delaney and Caitlin Werle allowed Bowie to hold off a potent St. Mary's offense. Goals were scored by McNellis, Werle, Schnell, Erika Hyatt, Sarah Hatef and Kathleen Smith. Aggressive ball control from McNellis, Kate Fitzgerald, Victoria Guaragna and Kelly Sinclair limited St. Mary's to two ground balls. With the win, BBGC Juniors No. 1 raised their record to 5-1.

Juniors No. 2 (girls)

Kent Island 11, Bowie 9

In a nail-biting rematch against Kent Island, Bowie was defeated. The star of the game was goalie Christina Best, who racked up an amazing 13 saves for the Bowie Junior girls. Scorers included Rachel Grahek (3 goals), Hannah Knapp (2) and Morgan Gygax, Brenna Sweeney, Samantha Locke and Kate Fitzgerald (1 each).

Bowie 11, Slade 1

Coming off a disappointing loss to Kent Island, the BBGC Juniors No. 2 squad bounced back with authority. An astonishing number of girls scored during the game. Joy Corbin, Cydney Conley and Bridget Gurtshaw each had two tallies. Knapp, Grahek, Sweeney, Ally Vance and Jessica Boileau each scored a goal. Locke contributed a beautiful assist for one of Corbin's goals. Goalie Christina Best pulled off six saves, only allowing one goal. The team was backed by the defense of Locke, Corbin, Julia Briggs and Allie Dudley.

Middies (girls)

Bowie 7, CYLA 7

The BBGC Middies ended the game against CYLA with their second deadlocked game of the season. Scores came from Molly Dick (3 goals) and Kaitlyn Steinbauer (2) as well as solo tallies from Elizabeth Woolfley and Hanley Allen.

Goalie Maggie Smith performed well with 10 saves. Excellent ground ball coverage from Meghan DeGeorge and Bridget Ryan was critical in preserving the tie. Defending the BBGC goal was Dana Phillips. Julia Castelli won three face-offs for Bowie.

Bowie 14, Kent Island 9

The Middies won their first game of the season against Kent Island.

Goals were scored by Hannah Rock (4), Dick (3), Allen, Woolfley and Sarah Smith (2) and Steinbauer (1). Smith had 12 saves.

Castelli and Avril Smith provided excellent ground ball coverage while Bonnie McNellis and Annelise Parks helped the team with excellent defense.
