Pet Licensing
Prince George's County pet licenses are required for all cats, dogs and ferrets that live in the county. Licenses can be obtained at the City of Bowie Animal Control Office at City Hall. To obtain a license, you must present a current rabies vaccination certificate. Purchase licenses daily from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Lost/found pets: If you find someone's pet, contact the Bowie City Hall Animal Control, 2614 Kenhill Drive, 301-262-6200. For lost pets, call the same number. Leave a report with Prince George's County Animal Control at 301-499-8300.

Dog Park Rules
Bowie Dog Park is located on Northview Drive. The park is open daily from 8 a.m. to dusk. For information, log onto www.angelspace.net/bowiedogpark.

• Owners are legally responsible for the activities of their dogs and are prohibited from leaving their dogs unattended. Dogs showing aggression toward people or other dogs must be removed from the park.

• Owners must clean up after their dogs.

• A basic flat buckle collar or harness is required within the park (no pinch or choke chains).

• Dogs must be leashed when entering or exiting the park and owners must carry a leash at all times.

• No more than two dogs per owner are allowed in the park at the same time.

• Dogs in heat or younger than 4 months are not allowed in the park.

• Dogs must wear up-to-date rabies vaccination tags and license tags.

• No smoking or food or dog treats allowed inside the park.

• Children must be properly supervised. Children under 12 are strongly discouraged from using the dog park.

• Owners may use the smaller fenced-in area for small dogs, shy dogs and puppies older than 4 months.

• Dogs are to be treated humanely in accordance with the City of Bowie Animal Control Ordinance.

• Professional dog trainers may not use this facility to conduct their business.

• Water is not provided by the park; bring water for your pet at all times.
